The purpose of this new group is to give the opportunity to those Welsh speakers, or learners, to practise the language in a friendly informal environment. To bring a bit of Welshness to Hampshire! Some, like myself, may not have not had much chance to speak Welsh having left the country and decamped to England. Singing is encouraged, though not obligatory. There will be no tests and mistakes are expected. The main thing is to have good, fun conversation without fear of embarrassment. Tea, coffee and the occasional Welsh cake will be provided. Some reading material can be provided but also the format will be open to suggestions.
