What we do

The Group is not a beginner’s group. We concentrate on Conversation, not Grammar-bashing or learning from text books. Each meeting a topic is chosen in advance by our teacher, who introduces us to new vocabulary and encourages us to take turns to answer questions and contribute to the discussion. Preparation for the sessions is optional.

We are a friendly and sociable group and many of us usually end up in the cafeteria at the church for a chat (in English!) after the lessons. We occasionally organise outings to see a French film or to have a meal.
