What we do
We are a friendly group who get together to practise our language skills in a very informal way. Some of us learnt German purely through speaking it and others in school, albeit a long time ago! We try to work at a level which suits the majority and generally at around B1/B2.
Subject matter is varied – we usually have a main story or article which we take turns to read out and translate and which is sent out before the meeting for members to become familiar with if they so wish. Typically, this is followed by some German conversation (with varying degrees of success!) and then maybe a piece brought along by one of our members, which they think may be of interest.
We like to have fun and (hopefully!) improve our knowledge of German along the way!
Please contact me for more information if you are interested – you are very welcome to come along for a taster session before deciding whether to join us – Jill.
