Guide to Online Joining

The first screen you will see is this:

Please fill in as appropriate (fields in bold are mandatory). Leave one space between the two parts of your postcode.

If you are a UK taxpayer, please click the circled box which will bring additional revenue to the u3a. When you’re done, then click the “Make Payment” button at the bottom.

Completing the form will mean that you agree to the terms of our Data Protection policy, which you can view by clicking on this button:


Now when you get to PayPal you will see the screens below but without the pink backgrounds - please avoid these pink areas on the actual screens.

Just press the Pay by Debit or Credit Card button at the bottom.

Then you’ll see this as the first part of the next screen, where you provide your card details.

The email address you enter above will be used by PayPal to send you a receipt.

One or two things to watch out for on the second part of the screen:

After clicking the “Pay now as guest" button, you’re done 😊😊

You will receive two emails after joining, one your PayPal receipt and the other your Beacon acknowledgement. The latter will have your membership card attached. You will have to scroll right to the bottom of the email to find it. This can be saved on your phone or printed as is convenient for you. You will be asked for your membership cards when you attend a monthly meeting.
