This group is for anyone who has a reasonable standard of French and is able to read a modern novel in French. It is not suitable for beginners.

We read approximately 30 pages between meetings and then come together to discuss what we have read. Conversation is in French as much as possible. In the time left, those who wish may read aloud in French, with stops to check understanding and discuss the themes. Books are contemporary fiction, chosen and bought by the group leader.

We meet in the Prayer Room, upstairs, at St John’s Church. After the session, join us downstairs in St John’s café for a drink and a chat (in English).

Please contact Anne Croft if you’re interested and would like to know more.
