What we do
Prior to our meetings members submit their original and adjusted images, taken to a specific theme. These images are discussed and where appropriate further adjustments for improvements are made during our meeting.
One member will talk for 10 minutes on their favourite photographs.
We also have a tutorial covering different aspects of photography including the software that is now available for editing and improving digital photographs.
Occasionally we have a field trip (weather permitting).
Village Festival
Each year at the Hartley Wintney Village Festival we show a selection of members' photographs and ask the public to vote for their favourite.
The theme for 2026 was "Transport". There were 303 votes and the winner was Anne Marie Satchell with her picture of Bikes at Hallstatt.
The theme for the Village Festival in June 2027 is Buildings.

Mottisfont
On 17th June 2025 we visited Mottisfont Abbey (NT) on the Rosie Minibus. The weather was a little overcast (ideal for photographing flowers) unfortunately the famous rose garden was not at its best. Wisley afternoon

Visit to Arlesford
On 16th April 2025 it was third time lucky! This trip wasn't rained off, we were blessed with a lovely sunny afternoon. Below there is one image from each member who went on the trip. The cameras used included one of the very latest high-end mirrorless cameras, a couple of DSLRs, and the remainder were smartphones. Can you tell which is which? Previous Village Festival Highlights
The overall theme for the 2025 Festival was "Animals of the world". It seemed to members that it would be sensible if the theme for our photo competition matched that. For the first time ever we had joint winners.
